Dining Chair N.14 (cane) by TON

The ‘N. 14’ chair collection features a range of wooden dining chairs designed by TON. Since the introduction of the n. 14 chair in 1859, TON chairs have enjoyed phenomenal success, with over 80 million sold worldwide.
Its emblematic shape, the result of assembling eight pieces of hand-curved wood and twenty screws, makes it a true masterpiece of design. Thanks to its legendary lightness and solidity, this chair quickly found its way into the cafés of Vienna, earning it the prestigious nickname of “Bistro Chair”.

Each chair is available in oak or black-stained oak.

TON is one of the most ancient manufacture in Czech Republic which is specialized in wood bending. Austrian founder of this manufacture Michael Thonet, has designed and conceived one of the most iconic chair: Chair n°14. Six generations have worked at TON manufacture since 1861. Today the company is working with contemporary designers such as Kashkash design studio (by Florian Kallus and Sebastian Schneider) to conceive new items and redesign iconic ones.
