Baia Lounge Chair by DK3

The Baia collection was created by designer Kensaku Oshiro for DK3.

The Baia collection

Designed by Kensaku Oshiro for DK3, the Baia collection includes a chair, lounge chair, counter stool, and bar stool, all sharing the same aesthetic language. Its most distinctive feature is its curved backrest, inspired by the shape of a bay window, which lends both comfort and a unique identity to the entire collection.

The combination of this enveloping backrest and a slender steel frame creates a balance between visual lightness and a strong presence. The lines are simple, the proportions are well-balanced, and the design is versatile enough to fit seamlessly into a residential interior as well as a restaurant, hotel, or workspace.

The lounge chair echoes the collection’s design language in a more generous version. Its deep seat and padded backrest are designed to offer lasting comfort, while maintaining the light silhouette that characterizes Baia.

Materials and Finishes

The frame of the Baia collection is made of steel and available in a chrome or black powder-coated finish. Its design is based on a combination of steel tubes and flat steel elements, a manufacturing process that contributes to the visual elegance of each piece.

The seat and backrest are fully upholstered and available in a wide selection of fabrics and leathers. This variety of upholstery options allows the collection to be adapted to different environments and projects, from residential spaces to commercial and hospitality projects.

Thanks to its numerous customization options, Baia blends easily into contemporary, minimalist, or cozier settings.
