Description

Marques Chair by CarmWorks

Marques” is a wooden chair (solid oak) designed and made by CarmWorks in its studio in Bogota (Colombia). This chair is designed in a modernist style with delicate and abstract forms, representative of the Colombian folklore.

CarmWorks furniture is characterised by the quality of its materials and environmental friendliness.

The Abraxas, Dagon and Marquez chairs are made by the Colombian studio CarmWorks. Artist Camilo Rodriguez is inspired by nature and aims to embellish everyday objects. He follows the Japanese concept of Wabi-sabi, accentuating the imperfections of wood. Influenced by Japanese culture, CarmWorks applies the Yakisugi technique which consists of a burnt wood technique. The furniture is also treated by applying natural oils with a mixture of lacquer and matt enamel. This guarantees a sustainable protection against UV light, so that all furniture is adapted for outdoor use.
