The Enso pendant light, made of wood and Japanese washi paper, is a creation by designer Lars Vejen for MOTARASU.

When Japan meets Denmark

Inspired by traditional Japanese woodworking techniques, Enso embodies the harmonious alliance between artisanal heritage and modernity. Each pendant lamp is entirely handcrafted, with precision ensuring the accuracy of the lines and the elegance of the structure.

Its shade, made from Japanese washi paper, prized for its finesse and durability, diffuses a soft, enveloping light. It unfolds like a luminous veil, creating a warm, cozy, and deeply soothing atmosphere.
The solid oak structure, assembled using traditional methods with no visible screws, reveals a design that is both rigorous and refined. Subtle integrated magnets allow the pendant light to be easily opened for maintenance, while preserving the purity and consistency of the whole.

Placed above a dining table, kitchen island, or large restaurant table, Enso asserts its presence with balance. It structures the space without ever imposing itself, bringing coherence, serenity, and a resolutely unique luminous signature.
