Description

Chair Pia by DK3

The Pia chair signed by DK3 was imagined and designed by the famous designer Poul Codavius in 1959.
Its minimalist and timeless design, as well as its pure, almost organic lines characterize the Pia chair. Inspired by the Scandinavian design of the 1950s, the Pia chair is lighter and smaller. “Less is more” perfectly represents the design of the Pia chair by DK3: the goal is here to use as less materials as possible.
The aerial and precious aspect of the chair is also found in the details: the wooden chair legs, thin and conical, reinforce the lightness of the design. The top of the feet has been hand sanded and features handcrafted woodworking details.
The structure of the chair is entirely made of wood and DK3 offers 4 different wood species: from natural oak, to black lacquered oak through walnut. The paper cord seat is woven by hand in the workshops of DK3. The backrest has been molded to provide the best comfort for the back.
