Description

Cherlon Chaise Longue by CarmWorks

Cherlon” is a solid oak or cedar chair designed and made by CarmWorks in its workshop in Bogota, Colombia. This long contemporary chair consists of a rattan seat on a burnt wood base. A leather upholstered cushion adds a sophisticated detail to this bohemian seat.

CarmWorks furniture is characterised by the quality of its materials and respect for the environment.

The artist Camilo Rodriguez is inspired by nature and seeks to embellish everyday objects. He follows the Japanese concept of Wabi-sabi, accentuating the imperfections of wood. Influenced by Japanese culture, CarmWorks applies the Yakisugi technique which consists of a burnt wood technique. The furniture is also treated by applying natural oils with a mixture of lacquer and matt enamel. This guarantees a durable protection against UV light, so that all furniture is suitable for outdoor use. Camilo Andres Rodriguez Marquez is known for his original and creative designs. With an emphasis on functionality and simplicity, he creates pieces that are both aesthetically pleasing and practical. Camilo is also known for his use of sustainable materials and his commitment to creating products with minimal impact on the environment.
