Obstacles is a Spanish design studio with a mission to create a contemporary furniture collection free from all superfluous elements. At Savannah Bay Gallery, we showcase these thoughtfully designed pieces, crafted to be fully lived with—optimized for comfort and stability in the most demanding interiors. Each coffee table, desk, or chair is meticulously produced in Spain, within traditional woodworking ateliers, following a precise manufacturing process overseen by the Obstacles studio.

Obstacles sources only the highest-grade FSC-certified European oak, carefully selecting sections of the trunk with unique grain patterns and minimal knots. Thanks to an innovative joinery system, the use of glue is minimized, allowing the wood to evolve naturally over time without compromising its stability. The pigments and varnishes used for the finishes are of natural origin, ensuring that each piece is ethically made and environmentally responsible, seamlessly combining quality, aesthetics, and sustainability.
