Dining Table Paris by Obstacles

The Paris dining table, designed by Spanish studio Obstacles, is made from solid oak and takes its name from the French art of pique-nique. With its long, narrow form, it’s designed to encourage connection and intimacy around the table. Crafted in Spain from FSC-certified wood, it is available in five finishes: Coffee, Black, Umber, Oil, and Natural. Its clean, pared-down design focuses on what matters most—simplicity, functionality, and presence. This generously sized dining table reflects the essence of Obstacles’ philosophy and will naturally find its place in any dining space.

Obstacles is a Spanish design studio with a clear ambition: to create a contemporary furniture collection free from excess. Each coffee table, desk, or chair is meticulously made in Spain, in traditional woodworking ateliers, following a precise and carefully controlled manufacturing process led by the Obstacles team.

Obstacles sources only the highest-grade FSC-certified European oak, selecting sections of the trunk with unique grain patterns and minimal knots. Thanks to an innovative joinery system, the use of glue is minimized, allowing the wood to naturally adapt over time without compromising its stability. The pigments and varnishes used for the finishes are all-natural, ensuring each piece is ethically produced and environmentally responsible, seamlessly combining quality, aesthetics, and sustainability.
