Description

Lowtide Coffee Table by Linteloo

The Lowtide collection was designed by the Roderick Vos studio for Linteloo.

Designed by Roderick Vos for Linteloo, the Lowtide coffee table draws its inspiration from coastal landscapes shaped by the wind and the tides. During a walk along the coast, the designer observed the ephemeral patterns left in the sand at low tide and translated them into a piece of furniture that is both simple and expressive.

Its tabletop features a wavy pattern that evokes the natural traces left by water on the shoreline. This texture adds depth and dimension to the surface while enhancing the table’s sculptural character. Viewed from both near and far, Lowtide captures light differently throughout the day, revealing the full richness of its design.

Both understated and distinctive, it naturally finds its place in a contemporary living room, where it brings a warm presence and a tactile dimension to the space.

Materials and Finished

The Lowtide coffee table is crafted from solid oak. Its tabletop is machined using computer numerical control milling technology, which allows for the precise reproduction of the organic contours that characterize its design.

This manufacturing technique produces a result that retains the appearance and feel of handcrafted work. The wood’s natural variations, grain, and texture contribute to the unique identity of each piece.

The table is available in several oak finishes:

Smoked oak
White limed oak
Anthracite oak

The Lowtide coffee table is available in several sizes:

H. 34 x 140 × 140 cm
H. 34 x 120 × 120 cm
H. 34 x 100 × 100 cm
H. 34 x 180 x 120 cm
H. 34 x 180 x 80 cm
H. 34 x 120 x 80 cm

About Linteloo

Since its founding in 1994 by Jan te Lintelo, who was later joined by Lars Nikolajsen, Linteloo has developed a vision for furniture based on comfort, quality, and relaxed luxury. The Dutch brand collaborates with internationally renowned designers to create timeless collections where contemporary design meets exceptional craftsmanship.

A graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven, Roderick Vos has spent several decades developing a body of work centered on the relationship between materials, craftsmanship, and use. His career, marked in particular by several years spent in Indonesia, has shaped a design approach that is attuned to artisanal techniques and the richness of materials.

Through his creations for Linteloo, he seeks to design functional pieces whose character rests as much on the quality of their craftsmanship as on their ability to evoke lasting emotion.

With “Lowtide,” Roderick Vos transforms a detail observed in nature into a coffee table with clean lines, where technical innovation and organic beauty come together.
